Counseling Mission Statement
The mission of Just 4 Developmental Laboratory’s school counseling department is to advocate and ensure students encounter and experience equity, environments conducive to learning and a school climate that is culturally compassionate, sensitive and responsive to all students. The school counselor will serve as a leader that is instrumental in the development of resilient, lifelong learners who thrive and succeed within any global community.

The vision of Just 4 Developmental Laboratory’s school counseling department is to further develop the academic, social-emotional and college/career skills of every student enabling them to thrive and succeed at the next levels of education and within any global community.
Counselor Belief Statements
- At Just 4 Developmental Laboratory, the School Counselor believes:

o All students can learn to be resilient during seasons of adversity.

o All students can achieve academic, career, and social-emotional success when given the proper and adequate tools.

o Data should be used to design, implement, evaluate, and continuously improve the school counseling program.
o School counselors serve as leaders and collaborators in assessing barriers to academic success.
o School counselors collaborate with families, stakeholders, and community resources to meet the all students’ needs.
o School counselors abide by the ASCA’s Ethical Standards for School Counselors.
